CA. Mangesh Pandurang Kinare is the Vice-President of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI) for the Council Year 2026–27. A dynamic and visionary leader, he is widely respected for his professional integrity, adaptability, and unwavering commitment to strengthening the Chartered Accountancy profession in India and globally.
A Fellow Chartered Accountant and a graduate of the University of Mumbai, CA. Kinare brings over 33 years of distinguished professional experience in accounting, auditing, taxation, corporate governance, GST, and corporate consultancy. He also serves as an Independent Director on the Boards of various companies and is a renowned faculty on Goods and Services Tax (GST) and the ICAI Code of Ethics. Through his lectures at national and international forums, he has contributed significantly to professional education and capacity building.
Currently serving his third term as a Central Council Member of ICAI, CA. Kinare has held several key leadership positions within the Institute. He has served as Chairman of the Professional Development Committee and the Committee on Public and Government Financial Management, Vice-Chairman of the Centre of Excellence Directorate, and has been an active member of numerous Central Committees. He has also served on the Disciplinary Committee Bench for six years and has represented ICAI on several national and international bodies.
Prior to his tenure on the Central Council, CA. Kinare served as the Chairman of the Western India Regional Council (WIRC) of ICAI during 2013–14, where he played a pivotal role in promoting professional excellence, member development, and institutional growth. He has also contributed extensively to the education and social sectors as a trustee of various charitable institutions and has served on committees constituted by the Government of Maharashtra.
As Vice-President of ICAI, CA. Kinare is providing strategic leadership to several important initiatives aimed at enhancing professional standards, strengthening governance, embracing technological transformation, and expanding the global presence of the Indian Chartered Accountancy profession. His vision, inclusive leadership, and dedication continue to inspire members and students while reinforcing ICAI's reputation as one of the world's leading professional accounting bodies.
